Welcome to The Council of Repossession Professionals website

Repossession agency owners across America have communicated that they desired industry leaders to stand together and speak as one voice on issues that have a negative impact on our industry. The solution is at hand in the form of the recently constituted The Council of Repossession Professionals (hereinafter referred to as "The CORP"). "The CORP" is made up of two (2) representatives each from the different repossession trade associations listed on the "About Us" page of this website.

"The CORP" has been working in a positive, cooperative manner, negotiating with lenders and addressing issues with them for fair and equitable solutions to their contracts. For example, if a lender or forwarder submits a contract to the industry that fails to provide reasonable indemnification to the actual repossession agency, "The CORP" would review the contract, and intervene on behalf of recovery agencies owners nationwide.

In many cases we know that independent owners will sign contracts - even if they are unconscionable - simply because they are desperate for the work and they don't want to be viewed as a troublemaker. The same could be said of a single trade association taking a stand on an issue. "The CORP" will speak with a collective voice representing the members from all of the repossession trade associations. We hope that forwarders and lenders find that dealing with "The CORP" can be a positive, win-win experience, and that more and more progress will be made to the benefit of all concerned. However, "The CORP", representing a huge segment of the professional repossession industry, is prepared to remain steadfast on issues even if there are no concessions.
"The CORP" is a cooperative group which represents over a thousand independent repossession companies and offices throughout the country.

If you have a care or concern that you feel that the CORP can be of assistance to you, please feel free reach us by clicking on the "Submit A Contract / Complaint" link above.
